Hydraulic Analysis

Pipe sizing, site-wide hydraulic profiles, waste water management system.

I sized all pipework on site and liased with senior CAD technicans on the pipe layout. I devloped a comprehensive hydraulic profile of the treatment to check the headlosses and gravity fed flows throughout the entire treatment works. I designed a waste management system for the site to handle the sludge from the presedimentation ad sedminetation processes, emergency overflows and wastewater from the filter backwashing.

Pumps/ Instrumentations

Sizing, control philsophy.

I preapred specifications for all the pumps needs for the treatment works and consulted with local suppliers to choose the approiate model. I worked alongside the senior MEICA engineer to select the sensors to be used on site and develop a site wide control philsophy.

Process Analysis

Water qulaity data processing, process reviews, chemical CAPEX/OPEX comparison study.

I analysed and processed 10 years of daily water quality readings from the existing plants. Using this data apprpriate water treatment processes were selected. I then preformed detailed cost benefit analysis of several treatment processes in consultataion with local chemcial suppliers.

Power Analysis

Site power, backup generators, renewable energy audit.

I sized and selected the transformer and backup power generator to be installed onsite. I then preformed solar power potenial study for the site and prepared a report to be sent to the client for consideration.

Documentation

Preparation of tender documents and detailed technical specifications.

I prepared documentation for the project and inception, preliminary design and detailed design stages.
